How to Host a Charming Galentine’s Day Brunch

Galentine's Day is right around the corner and what could be better than hosting a brunch for your favorite girls? There is no need to fret. Hosting a brunch can be super easy with a bit of preparation and creativity.

It’s All In the Details

There are NO rules when it comes to brunching. You can choose to have a casual or formal brunch or even set up a buffet for your girls to serve themselves. No matter what you decide, be sure to pay special attention to the details. Choose a color palette and weave those colors throughout the entire tablescape. A pretty tabletop will go a long way, so go ahead and use your special china, linen napkins, place setting cards, and of course, fresh flowers. You can also show your girls some extra love by incorporating a small gift into each of your place settings. I gifted each of my girls with a handmade ceramic smudge bowl with a love ritual smudge bundle (bonus points for matching my color scheme.) Remember that these small yet significant touches let your guest know that you put a lot of time, effort, and love into planning this event.

An Effortless and Delicious Menu

Preparation is key. Make your life A LOT easier by preparing breakfast classics such as a spinach quiche or overnight French Toast the day before. Also, visit your favorite grocer and purchase an assortment of pastries and a fresh fruit tray.  Be sure to put these goodies on your own serving trays, charcuterie boards, and cake stands.  Not only will this give your table more character, but it will also make your food display even more enticing.

Toast your Favorite Galentine

Cocktails are a MUST at any Galantine’s celebration, so why not create a mimosa bar? Creating a mimosa bar is relatively easy; it takes a little time and creativity. You can set up your bar anywhere-- a countertop, a buffet table, or a bar cart. You just need a location with adequate space to house all the necessities for making the perfect cocktail. You will need multiple bottles of chilled dry or semi-dry sparkling wine (dryer wine balances out the sweetness of the juices) and be sure to keep your bottles cold by placing them in a wine bucket or beverage tin. Nothing is worse than a room temp mimosa. In addition to orange juice, have a variety of juices for your guest to choose from- cranberry juice, watermelon juice, strawberry puree. This is your time to get creative. Who said a mimosa must be made with orange juice? Lastly, have an assortment of garnishes such as fresh fruit and herbs such as mint, rosemary, and basil for your besties to drop in their drinks. And viola, you have provided the makings of the perfect mimosa!!

A Galentine’s day brunch is the perfect way to show your girls just how much you adore them.  You can create a memorable and fun event with just a little effort and a whole lot of love.

Happy Brunching!
